Not me doing bush trips on microsoft flight simulator while watching this

Really great advice! I did the same thing and it made my instrument checkride an absolute breeze. During my training, any time I shot an approach in real life that I wasn’t happy with, I would re-do the approach on the simulator until I could basically do it with my eyes closed lol

This, went through USAF Nav school and flight sim procedures were such a help for instruments.

I remember when i did a discovery flight, with years of flight sim. The flight instructor asked if i was lying about never flying. I told him my story of how i learned. He told me that at my current skill set it should be a breeze to obtain a PPL. Too bad im poor af

Doing my Multi IFR right now. I used to have a flight sim, it helped ALOT! Saved a lot of time with programing the GPS and understandings the charts

Crazy how procedurally accurate it is.

Definitely working on my IFR with a flight sim right now. Great for procedural skills.

This is great to hear. I've been taking my online ground school and using MS flight sim to navigate and fly approaches. It's surprising how accurate it is when loading flight plans and approaches via gps within the game.❤

Flight sim is amazing for instrument rating. Its just way cheaper and quicker to fly a bunch of different approaches in the sim than to do it in a plane. Also use a plane with the same or similar avionics to the ones youre training in and it will be even easier to load approaches in the plane.

I’ve also found that turning the fog all the way up kinda forces you to use the instruments. If anybody is having trouble with looking up give it a shot.

Absolutely great recommendation! Can I also ask which model of sunglasses are you wearing? Thanks

Been using it since about 1984 or so when it was on a floppy disk and monochrome monitor. It helped me solo in less than 10 hrs and get my license easily in 40.

This tip will save you $$$ and stress. I’m going through training right now and I have a lot of knowledge from the msfs flight school that they offer for free. All the principles are the same and flight controls are damn close!!

rly rly good advice tip Ethan !!. not cheesy.. Yes I'd do it too if when I get to Instr. I heard read USNavy started use some sim sw think was MSFS for brand new trainees at Pensacola starting their flt trng... this was about 10 so yrs ago if remember correctly. So if Navy does it I'm gonna do it. Can only help, save u valuable time, esp $$$ too ..make u better.
I'd do it even for Ppl to learn preview every ap all around my area or esp for Xctry flts to ap getting ready for Ppl check ride.
