Just because a course reversal like a procedure turn is depicted on an approach plate, doesn't mean we're always going to be flying it. Here is how we can make sure to keep ourselves and our GPS on the same page when flying course reversals.

You literally have the very best aviation education videos out there. Not only is the presentation wonderful, but you cover a bunch of different topics. Many of which few others cover.
In other news, I passed my Commercial checkride a few days ago :)

My flight instructor isn't bad but he didn't go over this with me until months into my training, recently. I've been busy so I didn't fly too often but thank you!

360 Heading for the teardrop entry? Or 014?

Good topic; thanks for sharing. Maybe you can review the (flight) visibility requirements on the approach plate, to legally initiate an (alternate) approach.

@2:30 you changed from NAV to HDG mode, why? was it because you were cleared to IROKE and knew that you would have to fly a teardrop by hand? @3:51 the unit sequences to a hold and not to the teardrop, is that because you didn't remove the hold from the FPL? thank you for these videos, I am learning so much from you

Here’s a good one for study…KAVX (Catalina) GPS-B approach. Note the only IAF is also the FAF. Do you still fly the PT when approaching from the North?

The ILS approach to RWY 224. So when we land 22 should be painted on the surface?

What is the limit for the intercept angle with IROKE when you have to do the procedure turn? Anything more than 90 degrees?

I have a silly question. If Im coming from the north and Im wanting or by some reason being told to the shoot approach starting from MENRD, can i just direct MENRD and 180ish turn to intercept the 314‘ course? if so, how wide can my turn be?

Iam sorry, iam more confused as ever, by watching this video. I guess, iam old fashioned. Iam going to forget all to gather, the GPS, and auto pilot and hand fly the damn thing the old fashioned way. But, before, getting into the air, I will make sure, i understand, the worst scenario, might be given by ATC, to hold at different fix points, or intersection; and get myself, mentally ready. The hell with modern technology.
