Lots of new firearm owners you know who need to watch this. Instructor Bill Quirk of Defensive Training Group goes over the four LIFE safety rules for handling firearms. He touches on why words matter with phrasing the rules to ensure clarity, the WHY and the HOW behind each rule, and SO MUCH MORE. He goes into details that will be helpful for even seasoned shooters to freshen up on, since a lot of the important stuff can be overlooked AND all shooters should live by these every day with guns anyway...

Great presentation, drove the safety points with clear concise explanation. Nice work Bill. If I ever choose to learn how to handle a firearm, I would love to learn from you. Stay safe.

I think too many people buy a firearm or a few and now consider theirselves prepared/ preppers. Half probably don't know which side the bullet comea from. Like any gear you need to actually use and test it

I am continually confounded by the flag rule and how to apply it with concealed carry. Impossible to appendix carry without flagging yourself. Ankle carry will flag your ankle or your foot. Pocket carry will flag your leg, calf, or feet. IWB at 3 or 4 o'clock I'm told is safer, but I can't do it without flagging my hip or butt. Outside the waist band strong side seems least likely to flag yourself, but that may be difficult to conceal. Important rules, but very difficult to always employ them. Is it just me?

What about IWB conceal carriers? There is bound to be many times in a day where the you inadvertently have the barre aimed at your own legs or parts of your body. I’m imaging Mexican IWB carry while sitting.

Outstanding presentation!
My only critique is the mid-roll ads. I get it that you need to pay the bills but for this one, I think the interruptions are too distracting. We should purpose to avoid distractions during the safety brief.
To make up the difference, add one that I can't skip at the beginning and at the end, I'll watch it with my group before every range day or dry-fire session.

So if you unload the firearm and know it’s unloaded shouldn’t you still TREAT it as if it were loaded? 💁🏻‍♂️
