So if someone had the midline off why would an ortho not put elastics on the front just the sides?

This is unrelated to mid line elastics but do you know the average time to pull a high canine tooth down so that it aligns with the other teeth?

i am orthodontic patient. I once asked my doc regarding my central teeth. They are not midline. But my doc said, it's okay because they follow the superior and inferior frenulum respectively. It's that correct??

My lower jaw is assymetrical to the left and i have braces on now. My lower midline is off around 3mm to the left. May i know am i eligible for this method or not? Bcs my dr seems to skip my midline problem and he said im gonna get it off after one or two appointments more. Since my jaw is assymetrical to the left im more comfortable chewing to my left side of my teeth. Im gonna ask my doctor if hes going to fix this or not but im also finding for other professional opinion too

does this only move the teeth or the jaw??
if it moves the jaw isn't it bad biologically to move a bone from a confortable position into a new position and possibly cause jaw problems in the future as the jaw will be out of place for aesthetic purposes???

i have a midline shift but my orthos havent mentioned anything about it andi almost feel like they dont know.. next time i see them i'll mention it even tho im already getting my braces off soon

Does this shift both the jaws or only the upper jaw, because i have an upper midline shift and i don't want both my jaws to be ruined and face to look asymmetric

Ahm, does it also change your face shape, I mean lighty change your face as it shows it all changes. Does it help to align with the other side of your face and make you look symmetrical?

Didn’t work for me, only for a month then moved back, also it pulled my lower canine and surrounding teeth upwards and caused so many more issues now
