Yeah, it’s probably not cutting or self-harm related, considering it’s MHA.

It’s probably to hide the scars that OFA causes after overuse, eg when Deku breaks his arms he might sometimes be left with scars. This is seen during the Summer Training season of MHA, you know when the Vanguard Action Squad came to the facility.
