This song brings me back to a past relationship, where this was playing in the Uber to their house to talk about something they did to hurt me and I questioned them in tears if there was someone else because someone who loves you wouldn’t hurt you and choose anyone else over you and they denied it. A month after that convo, after 5 months of emotional manipulation and constant belittling, they broke it off. I didn’t find out they had a whole other partner at that time until 6 months after the breakup. That really helped me realize that people who claim to love you, could be so evil. I’m glad to know that the me that was listening to this song in the car all that time ago knows now that they’ll be freed from such a toxic cycle.
