Make it better with a light kettlebell, do a half kneeling windmill then lift the back knee to open up the hips and let the kettlebell pull gently into thoracic rotation then reverse the steps.

Why train for mobility and R.O.M without strengthening those positions to keep the strength and flexibility in those ranges.

It's dangerous to train mobility then go do heavy weights without the strength and control in those end ranges.

Anyone else get pain in the sides of their hips that prevents them from placing their elbow on the floor like in the video? It's definitely a stiffness/soreness type pain, not like I'm harming the muscle(s). Hoping anyone might have suggestions for modifications or other exercises to help reach the flexibility seen in the video. Still felt great so I'm gonna try to keep it up!

Great exercise! When doing this or split squats, where the back leg has same position, I have pain in the front of knee of the back leg (but only left knee).
Do you have suggestions, what is wrong here? Kind of restriction or weak muscles? Struggeling with this since a long time and found no help for this problem.

I am 10 inches away with my elbow to touch the floor. Very stiff lower back. Any ideas?

Do you have any modification advice? The bursitis in my foot gets really upset when I fully flex my toes for movements like this -- planks, lunges, etc. Could I have my foot just fully on the ground, toes pointed back?

It also twists the lumbar so check with a doctor first if you have any disc issues. Deep twists in my lumbar can set off a muscle spasm and nerve pinch

My flexibility (Ehlers Danlos) is too high for me to really feel much of a stretch when doing this. If my ability to balance was better, I'm sure I could push this stretch further. Any suggestions for someone who is hyperflexible but still feels stiff?
