YNW Melly's Lawyers Seek Mistrial in Rapper's Double Murder Trial

After YNW Melly’s ex-girlfriend’s mother, Felicia Holmes, was excused and the jury was dismissed for the day, the defense motioned for a mistrial. The defense argued that the state deliberately put Holmes on the stand to attack YNW Melly's character and make him look badly with zero factual basis behind doing so. "The jury watched this fiasco unfold," defense attorney David Howard explained. The judge said he needed time to make a decision. Court resumes Tuesday.

After going through some comments it’s clear some have no idea what’s happening, the prosecution said something improper prejudiced the jury and the JUDGE AGREED BUT the judge just instructed the jury to ignore the prosecution’s question but it’s too late the defense contends, the jury is tainted now so THAT is why they’re asking for a mistrial and quite frankly they have grounds.

You have to remember, they have to find him guilty beyond reasonable doubt. That's how it's supposed to go anyway.

They want a mistrial cause the witness sent screenshots. She sent a screenshot stating Melly & his manager suppose to pay her $10, 000 if she don't testify "against" him. She also stated she will snitch cause they ghosted her. On the stand she kept saying she forgot, but when the lawyer asked if that was her number & instagram/social media account she answered "yes". So all that lying she did about forgetting just went out the window.
