I hope this lesson helped you learn bass scales… and didn’t activate your LEGO Acquisition Syndrome too hard. 🧱

the highlighted fretting finger is AWESOME, makes it so much easier to follow what your fretting hand is actually doing.

Finally, finger presses can be discerned via that little graphic animation...and highleted finger on the fretboard....also you (finally) tie in the significance of scales, notes and shapes (patterns). Thank you Buzz.

I haven't made it all the way to the end yet... and I've been working on what I've watched so far. I just wanted to stop and say THANK YOU. I've been playing guitar and bass from close to 30 years (totally embarrassed to say that), and your teaching is the first time the 'theory' side of things has ever made any sense to me. I could cry, I'd give you a big hug if I could (You: "Please don't"). I think this is really going to lift my music up from the rut I'm in, and it'll be way more fun to 'play'. So Thanks, again, you're brilliant!

Hey Josh, I just want to thank you for making the videos that you do. I’ve been playing bass for almost 5 months now. I take lessons but those are only once a week. But people like you and Scott Devine have helped me so much into speeding up my progress. Watching your videos like this has helped me move around the fretboard easier, better technique, and this video where you give good tips on scales. I love these videos man

Thank you!!! I went to my local music store and the bass method section was the puniest most pathetic little section I've ever seen. You've really given me the tools to improve with your channel that I didn't know how to properly source before! Your the best! Thank you for being a passionate bass head! It's contagious haha

Thanks for another great theory video. I just picked the bass back up after about 10 years away and your 10 minute everyday practice routine has been my go to for rebuilding dexterity and speed. Really appreciate the great tips and tricks!
