Thanks for the video. Something that should be noted is how the Inspire 1 is just a flight platform. You're using the X3 imaging solution with the Inspire flight platform, and yes the MAVID PRO will compare favorably to the images from that camera. However, the Inspire 1 is considered "Pro" when it replaces the X3 camera with the Zenmuse X5 imaging system (which I have been using for a few months) Huge points here : the MAVIC does NOT stand up to the imaging power of the X5 system. So, the Inspire 1 is only as good as the camera you put on it... but you can't put an X5 or X5R system on a Mavic. So again, it's good to know what you need for your application of droning. I would say the MAVIC CAN be used for certain professional uses, but a refined eye will be able to differentiate between it's footage and that of the Inspire 1 Pro (w/ Zenmuse X5) when it comes to Dynamic range (having a well exposed landscape AND sky, for instance) and detail (seeing the leaves and branches of trees as opposed to a blurry mess like with the MAVIC) Hope this helps.

Agree on everything said. One downside of Mavic I experienced is when you have the sun from the side, Mavic propellers drop their shadows on the footage, which does not happen with Inspire 1, because its propellers are a way higher.

It's nice to get an honest review from an average consumer like myself. Am actually going through that dilemma now, Mavic pro or used inspire 1. After watching your video think I finally made up my mind! Great vid!

I appreciate the video and your perspective on things I've had the Maverick Pro for about a year now and I really like it but I'm getting ready to launch my own aerial photography business so I just bought the Inspire 1 matter fact I got it yesterday I haven't even flown it yet since it's snowing here so and I was debating on getting the Alltel eco 2
But I decided to go with the Inspire just because I wanted to get better video quality in better picture quality for some of the customers I'm going to be doing photography for I didn't realize how big the Inspire was and, paraplegic come in a wheelchair full-time so it's going to make a bit of a problem took nothing around once I do get to a job site pretty much going to have to either take somebody with me or be able to park where I can slide from that spot. But was there any issues that you had with the Inspire that I need to know about or any real real important things I need to know about the Inspire from your perspective and or would you be willing to do a video of how to set it up you know from taking it out of the cage to putting on the props which I didn't know there was any little adapter to keep the props on I'm
I'm used to the mavic pro anyways thank you and appreciate the video once again

I just got a inspire 1 and I'm planning on getting the mavic pro something you didn't really mention probably becuase you don't use them is all the "pro" features that the inspire has such as the dual operator, the 360 degree moving camera, and the hdmi output the inspire is made more for professionals who need that kind of stuff but for regular people that jut want some nice video the inspire is overkill and the mavic is perfect I need both since I do often do some professional work but want to have a mavic for those quick shots and just to have fun with

I am glad I came across this video, I wanted to purchase an Inspire and I already have the Mavic. I have a Phantom 3 and i use to hate lugging it around. People look at you like you are about to set up a weapon when you pull it out. I could only imagine pulling out that Inspire.

Just an observation: the video example you present as being windy condition @ 9:15 well, the water doesn't show mvmt, it's pretty still, not a good example of windy condition without trees and water showing actual grounf effects of wind...might want to check your video choice...

I have both, I use the Mavic for travel and fun and the Inspire 1 for work. I have no intentions of selling either.

I like the inspire one and a pro the black addition course but I'm just not really scared but it's just Carbon fiber the arms and the maintenance it's not cheap either that's the reason why I didn't get it but I do like though

well depending on your thinking and the kind of use you make with them... I love big frones BUT concerning to the portabiility my back loves smalls drones and specially when you get something like the Mavic Pri Premium with almost no noise and those features in something small so...

Good review and honest thinking. Cool guy...!!
