If you’re looking to get super healthy, while destroying your stubborn belly fat for good, understand this. More than anything, the foods you’re putting into your body are either taking you closer to, or further away, from your health and fitness goals.
Unfortunately, if I had to guess, a lot of you are ignoring these types of superfoods. This means you’re missing out on a food that can help provide your body with an abundance of healthy nutrients, that also helps to improve your metabolism.
I’m referring to nutrition packed seeds.
Seeds are an excellent calorie source to:
- Get lean
- Get energized
- Improve your hormone levels
How Do I Incorporate Eating Seeds Into My Everyday Diet?
If I had to guess a reason why you’re not eating seeds as part of your everyday diet, it’s probably because you don’t know how to incorporate them into your meals. Now you may be thinking, I’m not a bird dude, how am I supposed to eat seeds?
Well, it’s simple, dude:
- Add these 5 superfood seeds to your salads
- Use these seeds on top of your cooked vegetables and stir fries
- Add these seeds to your smoothies and protein shakes
5 Superfood Seeds You Are Probably Not Eating
Here are the 5 superfood seeds you are probably not eating.
#1. Chia Seeds
Chia seeds are high in:
- Protein
- Magnesium
- Vitamin C
- Many antioxidants to keep you looking younger and healthier
- Healthy omega-3 fats
- Fiber to help keep you feeling full, as well as cleaning you out
Not only do chia seeds add a ton of nutrients to your salads, they’re also great to add to your smoothies, since they are excellent at thickening your shake.
#2. Hemp Seeds
If you’re a vegetarian, many people use hemp protein powder as it’s higher in the essential amino acids the body requires to build muscle.
The whole hemp seed is also a decent source of protein and healthy fats that are great for healthy:
- Skin
- Hair
- Joints
#3. Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin seeds are loaded with testosterone hormone friendly magnesium and zinc.
They may also help:
- Reduce stress
- Manage your blood sugar
As you know, managing your blood sugar then manages the release of insulin, a.k.a. the fat storing hormone.
#4. Sesame Seeds
In my 4 Foods to Help You Sleep video, sesame seeds were recommended as they are high in the essential amino acid tryptophan. Tryptophan is a precursor to serotonin, which is the neurotransmitter involved in sleep.
Sesame seeds are packed full of:
- Fiber
- B vitamins
- Magnesium
- Zinc
They’ve also been shown to help lower blood pressure.
Although you wouldn’t typically throwback a handful of sesame seeds, you can add them to your salads or grind them up to make tahini, and add it to your meats and vegetables.
#5. Sunflower Seeds
Not only are sunflower seeds filled with healthy fats and magnesium, they also may help raise the level of melatonin in the body, to allow for better quality and deeper sleep.
