I consider myself a pretty informed smart guy. As such I realize there are people way more informed and way more knowledgeable in everything. Seeing Musk looking uneasy about this makes me uneasy. Like we need to start looking to be ready to run from the toasters.

I know what it’s like to need time to think to push out a proper cohesive answer when put on the spot and it’s aggravating to be interrupted when trying to answer because some things are not just straight forward. I like to hear his thoughts anyhow.

My guess was that we were 5 years away from a powerful AGI, but 3 years works for me, too. The key point is that it's like falling off a cliff. You're walking on perfectly safe flat ground until you reach the edge. Then all of a sudden everything gets very bad.
