Excel Quick Tips - Don't Merge and Center in Excel, Do This Instead! #excel #shorts

If you or someone you love is still merging and centering cells in Excel, kindly ask them to do this instead: Center Across Selection!

Merging and centering cells causes a number of problems for everything from screen readers to data manipulation, formulas, etc. There's not really a good reason to do this horizontally, so instead you should highlight your cells, go to format (Alt H F N), Alignment, Text Alignment, Horizontal, and choose Center Across Selection.
