This comment is here strictly for 1 purpose: to provide Justin with an efficacious dose of algorithmol. Nothing to see here, carry on.

I have a twin brother. He doesn’t like the gym and he’s 40 pounds lighter than me. I obviously eat a lot more and I’ve always been a bit chubbier than him. I’m 18 and I’m almost 2 inches taller than him. I’ve also become taller than some friends my age that were taller before. Gym actually helps with posture and maybe nutrients and general growth related with what you eat.

WTF JUSTIN I swear this whole time I thought you were like AlphaDestinys height or some shit 😭😭😭. I’m 6 2, 22 yrs old and trained in the past but only this year I finally figured out how to diet properly and I’m finally gaining, currently at 170lbs and doing a consistent but modest caloric surplus. Bruh at 6 1 you probably look like a whole unit, I’m gonna keep working to get to my best, been a fan of your content for several weeks now ✊🏼

I was 5'3" when I was 15, and then I shot up to 5'7" just right my 16th birthday. Then I shot up 5 inches again n 1 year, and landed up on 6'0". I also did go to to the gym for 2 years, and had a decent muscular physique to go along with it. I think jogging and working helped me grow, because my mother is only 4'10", and my father is only 5'4". Weird genes, I think I got it from my 6'3" grandfather...

To answer the second question, Yes it will make you taller due to testosterone however if your parents are both short don’t expect anything, like he said it really is heavily on genetics and what you eat

justin! can you gain muscle/weight while in a caloric deficit?
i’ve been walking 6-7 miles to campus each day, and i’m finding really hard to make up for the burnt calories in my meals but i am hitting my protein goals (just a touch under 1g/lb body weight) // any tips to keep making progress?

Even if it did stunt your growth, I wouldn't care. I'm already too tall.

I was 6’2 in middle school and I did a lot of sports and calisthenics around that time and younger as my dad was a military fitness nut. I stopped working out around late mid school and I’m in college now at 6’4 almost 6’5. I didn’t grow that much in between those years since I stopped exercising

If anything I think lifting accelerates your growth. Wish I did more lifting when I was younger haha

I have only been growing a lot since I started

This is factual just dont lift like a lot of weights with poor form amd a nice warm up will always be a good idea because poor form might destroy your growth plates, which will not stunt your height but just minimize it

I want someone’s honest opinion, so to start this off I’m 14 and 8 months and I’m roughly 5’9 my dad is 6’0 and my mom is 5’8 ever since I can remember I was afraid to lift because I thought it would stunt my growth but since I wanted to take on basketball I was forced to go to the weight room and after getting consistent I started seeing progress, I was eating well and going to weight lifting and biking on my bike slot for exercise! But then as I kept going I stoped because well I took a break and went on vacation but then after I got scared to start again because I’m afraid it will stunt my growth but I kinda want ti start again cause I felt so much better working out but now I’m kinda depressed and don’t feel like doing anything now someone please help l.

If anything I think it helps growth. I started 2 months ago and now I suddenly went from 5'8 to 5'10. I'm 19 btw

I was 5'7 only 13, I started working out and my dad who's 5'9 laughed at me telling me that I'm gonna stunt my growth, the following year I was already 5'11, rn I'm 35, and I stopped growing at 18, but I'm 6'3 nearly a head taller than him, I proved him wrong.😂

In short, if you were meant to be short, you will be short.
