The attitude of evangelicals towards LGB people has torn many lives apart, of LGB people themselves or parents thereof. Such a shame that many evangelicals that don't face the problems themselves aren't willing to change their attitude.

Hello if you are Gay and have parents who are Christian spreading gossip about you, give you crocodile tears, or disturb your peace to love. Guess what, I love you wholeheartedly and genuinely. You are a beautiful person. Dont pay attention to what narassicistic people say about you. It's your business period. You are a human being with a beautiful soul and even if we never met.. I want to tell you that I genuinely love you. It's going to be okay. If you don't have any love in your life, I love you! You are graceful, wonderful, and uniquely made. Never give up.

When our son told us he was gay, his father told him how much we loved him and that he would always be his son. He then gave our son a big hug. But when we said that we couldn't celebrate his "marriage ", our son rejected our relationship. He knows our hearts and door are always open.

Quite honestly, I don't know what I would do if I had an LGBT child for sure.. but I think that after they come out, I would just say "okay" and want to know what they mean when they say they are gay/lesbian/bi/transgender. And it has to be at an age past puberty for me to take it seriously, because kids don't truly understand sexuality at a young age. Unfortunately, that is why predators target them.

If this is about sexual relations, I would let them know what God says about homosexuality, and how they can expect me to respond, namely that I won't approve of homosexual acts just because they're my child. I think it would also be important to point out Satan's tactics against them. I would hope my child understands that it is coming from a place of love. Ultimately, you can't force someone to listen to you. I won't kick out my child for it, but I won't stop them from leaving. That's when you pray every single day for that person, have faith, and wait for God to deliver. When they are ready, they will come home like a prodigal.

My daughter walked away from the Lesbian lifestyle 12 years ago, and is in a VERY Permanent Loving marriage with the man she loves, and has pledged her life to. How horribly sad for you that you obviously think people cannot be delivered from whatever sin(s) they have allowed as part of their life!
Jesus Christ came to set captives Free!! Anyone involved in any kind of sin, whether it's sexual sin, drugs, alcohol, child abuse, hatred of family and/or neighbors, Lying, Stealing, Gosip of others, WHATEVER it is Jesus Christ CAN, and DOES set the sinner Free from their captivity to that sin(s)!!
I'd like to encourage you to get a Bible and read the Gospel of John, 4th book in the New Testament.
