This makes total sense to me. I've actually been on both sides of the patience paradox. You explained this perfectly, and how to change your perspective so you can meet in the middle "sweet spot".

Thanks Ryan such a great resource!! Now to find a good rhythm and balance. Also, this is bringing clarity to the stories that come up in my mind but aren’t necessarily true!!

I wonder if part of it is changing the mind frame from weight loss to lifestyle change. The latter is the permanent goal.

I've found the difficulty comes in trying too hard, this is when I fall off. When this happens, I think I'm missing the point.

I think patience is a huge factor of weight loss that isn't emphasised as much as it should be. It's a challenge in itself to properly and permanently change your perspective that way. To that end, I wonder if, while having big goals is important, the main focus should be on the small goals. Day to day, maximum week to week.

It's said that it's healthiest not to lose more than two pounds a week, which is fine, because two pounds is actually great. But I think we need to learn to be happy with those weeks we only loss one pound too.

Boo. I have more than a couple pounds to lose, but a 500 kcal deficit is below my BMR, so I have to settle for losing 1/2 lb a week until I manage to speed up my metabolism. I tried harder and paid the price. Not everyone’s TDEE is 2, 500.

Much love friend. I wanted to tell you that The Father in Heaven’s Name is not “the LORD” it is YAHUAH (YA-WHO-AH) The Son’s Name is NOT “jesus” it is YAHUSHA (YA-WHO-SHA).

We must repent of our sins (sin is transgression of The Law Of YAHUAH The Father in Heaven. The Law YAHUAH The Father Gave through Moses).

We must repent of our sins and Have Belief On YAHUSHA The Messiah. HE Died and Rose three days later so that we can be forgiven of our sins!

Let’s all run to HIM today while we still can. Much love to you friend.
