Good tutorial- worked for me. A few days ago, my itunes songs started getting thin-"tinny"- just plain obnoxious (sounded like a little kids record player) so I started searching for answers and one suggestions was to uninstall Realtek and windows would automatically reinstall with the latest drivers- it did not- instead it installed "High Definition Audio Device" a generic audio driver. This video helped me get back to Realtek. Anyway, don't think either was my sound issue- starting to think my headphones have gone bad as my Ipod and youtube videos all sound kinda sour (or maybe it's just my ears have gone bad). ??

Once I updated to W11, I cannot use any of my headphones or speakers. Realtek works for a bit when installed but only in my front jack connection, the back one just doesn't work and I cannot open the HD manager either to try and enable it again. I'm just too tired to keep trying but there has to be a way to solve this...

Downloading the latest driver was fine but when I try to update it on my pc I get ' The best drivers for you device are already installed' so I go back to see if the latest driver has been installed but it hasn't been 😞
