Get a bowl for him that is plastic for his water. The metal is reflective and hard for dogs to see where the surface of the water is to take a drink.

OMG. Our dog was like this! He even doesn't drink on "regular" plastic cups, it should be her glass crystal glass. And anytime she is offered on a regular bowl, she'd just stare at you and judging you why you put her water there 😅 May God bless her soul! Definitely miss her.

Three cats EXACTLY like this. We have FOUR water bowls around the house. All reffelled/refreshed CONSTANTLY throughout the day.

They all want our cup of water. I think it's a pack thing. The dog's imprinted on you, so it takes cues from you. It wants to participate in what you're doing. To share with you. It wants to drink WITH you and LIKE you.
