Maybe it is just my perspective, but I feel neither Lokis felt personally proud of killing Thor; in TVA Loki's case he knows, deep inside, he considers Thor as true family and is not happy to hear a version of Thor was killed; so maybe Kid Loki feels the same way, regretting his choice at some point, as he accepted his hell of being banished into the void with so many disappointing possible future versions of himself.

Thor is older than Loki, but the age difference isn't that big, since they were both kids when Odin lectured them at the start of the 2011 movie and when Loki transformed into a snake. Since Kid Loki was pruned for killing Thor, that means Thor was *also a kid* when he got killed
