‘Godzilla Minus One’ Changes Movies Forever – 15 million dollar budget!! 😳

Hollywood, watch out! Japan’s Toho just released ‘Godzilla Minus One’ and the world is stunned. Visually, it looks incredible and the story is possibly the best we have ever seen from a Godzilla film.

With box office hits not as reliable as they once were, studios are going to be need to tighten up and Godzilla Minus One just showed studios how.

update: it's denied by the director, it was even less than 15 mil, he said "I wish we had that much of a budget"

What I loved about Minus One is it has themes you'll still be thinking about days later, and it doesn't talk down to the audience. It feels like Hollywood blockbuster directors nowadays think we're stupid and need to have every little thing explained, while making sure to cram in needless jokes and and action in every 10 minutes.

Such a good movie. Hollywood should be embarrassed.

My son is the biggest Godzilla fan and I took him to see this movie today, it was such a great film. If you pay attention to the underlying story of this film you see it is not just about Godzilla but more about what happened in Japan after World War II, the people, family, about being brave and living. My 9 year old son, he loves it!

I was shocked at how good this movie is. Normally I'm trying to figure out why I should care about anyone who isn't a giant monster in Godzilla movies but I was truly immersed in most of the characters in this movie.

15 million is WILD. I thought 80 million was a low budget.

Wow that Godzilla’s skin texture is so realistic, and gives you the impression that you are looking at a gigantic lizard, not a CGI concoction.

The movie even won an Oscar this year for Best Visual Effect.

Americans: we need 300million budget to make a good movie.
Japanese: *alright, who has extra lunch money and want to contribute for a movie?* Lol

It’s not about How Much money you spend, but How you Choose to spend it.

"Godzilla Minus One" has a production budget of only 15 million USD but the overall cinematic quality is better than movies with 100 to 300 million US$ budgets. Japan is pure genius 👏 🙌

Just got back from watching it with my son and it is hands down the best movie of the year. It's not even remotely close.

This is what happens when the already over paid actors and directors don’t over pay themselves and rather make a good movie because they know that’ll make them more money than pocketing 40% of the budget

It's kinda hilarious how tonally different the two Godzilla films are, in one he's a baddass monster who fights big monke. In the other he is a terrifying force of nature representative of real life tragedy
