Final Wars is the most controversial Godzilla movie.

It was Toho’s Studios grand finale as they put the character on a hiatus. It also has the biggest budget of every Godzilla movie, with inflation considered doubling the budget of Godzilla Minus One.

It contains shapeshifting double aliens, most of the most popular kaijus from Godzilla history, mutants, Don Frye as the biggest badass you’ve ever seen, and the strongest Godzilla in the franchise up to this point. Who also does kung fu. And has a kid who needs help to say the least.

Godzilla absolutely wrecks everyone, I mean everyone up until the final act. Some Godzilla fans love this and others think its disrespectful to so many who deserved more.

I remember tricking my friends into watching this, as none of them where interested in Godzilla but when I asked them, do you guys like the Matrix, they said yes, do you guys like star wars, yes, do you like x-men, yes, do like Eastern action /king fu, yes and after watching it some of them became Godzilla fans, that's why I love this film as it brought new fans into the fold.

This Godzilla is the living embodiment of the insane fun 70s. Just as Minus One is the perfect serious Godzilla. There is nothing wrong with having both.

When this came out, it was basically Infinity Wars. A massive crossover of 10+ monsters facing Godzilla, Matrix like Action seems in the mutants, powerful music, and one liners. I felt so old to see how dated this movie became when I rewatched it a week ago after years.

I liked a lot of the little extras they threw in...the Xilians reminded me of the aliens form Monster Zero (from planet X), totally wrecking 1998 Zilla, the fact that Godzilla didn't kill any othe kaiju who had previously been allies. Don Frye was a nice surprise.

I saw this movie in Japan when it released. Even if you try to accept the cheese and camp in the movie, one wonders where the $20 million went that sunk into this film, double the cost of Godzilla Minus One. There were definitely a lot of money laundering schemes during this movie's production.

Honestly, thus is my favorite godzilla movie by far. I just loved everything about it. It was so wacky, and the fights were either comical or super cool. I LOVE big G's design in this movie. It will always be #1 to me.

This movie does exactly what it aims to achieve a complete batshit crazy movie Celebrating 50 years of Godzilla with lots of his old friends and foes coming back to shine in the big screen this movie gets criticized way yo harshly and for those who hate FW I seriously don’t see why, this movie is all about it turning youre Brain off and having fun with what you’re watching same can be said for GXK haters, FW is hands down one of the best in the franchise

I wouldn't say he's the strongest Godzilla out of all of them but he definitely showed a lot of power more so than most Godzilla movies. The only one that rivaled him in my opinion was legendary's Godzilla. Final wars Godzilla atomic breathed monster into space and a legendary Godzillas breath drilled all the way through the core of the planet. I don't count the anime Godzilla's when it comes to the most powerful Godzilla, I only count the live action ones.
