Richard, I've seen your videos in collaboration with the guys from Engine Masters. Would love to see what the 408 would do on their dyno cranked up until it blows. Similar to your 6.0 they featured on one of their episodes. Great work!

id like to see that with a cam that is more street friendly. i doubt that cam would like to cruse at 1500-1700 rpm and would need high stall

Comp cams do have some good cams.
But for my cam profiles I'll stick with crane.
Or my own custom profiles.

that’s really good for small injectors with 250 lbs injectors and c16 race gas one can only imagine 👍

I believe you're going to be really surprised to see what a similar combination would do on a 6 o with turbos. Short Stroke may make more power just less torque. You just going to get more crank Flex with the long-stroke. Forged 6.0 with Billet main caps is tough to beat. With the right cam it will out rev the 408. If you need additional torque on the 6 .0 just raise the compression

I will be putting this engine I'm a 65 impala. I have been looking at all the videos and doing a lot of research and i still need help choosing a cam.

Can you please help me. After talking to a few guys a had a few in mind. Can you help decide the best for me ???

I would assume compression ratio has to be 8.5-9.5:1

Help me out here i am new to this 408 stroker have a 9:1 compression ratio right which will be safer if I am running forced induction (boost) so I can get the maximum boost of the super or turbo and still be safe .now what are the factors that can increase or decrease my compression ratio let's say I have 408 stroker with factory 6.0 heads or maybe I have a very aggressive cam does that affect my compression ratio?

man i am tore between building my 6.0L gen III as either a 365 or a 403, to get to 1000hp, using 317 heads, summit stage 2 or 3 turbo cam, and a s480 turbo. I have a stock crank laying around but going forged keep calling me. I am gonna so it right with forged rods and pistons, but still not sure what to do with the crank. its going in a mostly street driven, occasionally tracked 98 trans am, so im trying to keep boost under 14lbs so its a bit easier to tune. any recommendations?

Rich you think a 88mm turbo with a 408 be a good street/strip car. I have ported fast 92 and ported 243 heads. Kinda wanting ported ls3 heads and Probably run e85. What you think?
