Starting the season they jays pitching was so good with no offence. Now they’re getting the offence and the pitching has been brutal.

Glad to see Tellez get some redemption after a brutal 0 for 5 on Friday.

I think the next 10 to 15 games will determine how the season will end for the jays. If we can get 9 to 10 wins out of those 15 games, we be on good track. But if our pitching continues to be like this, and we only win 8 or 7 games out of next 15 games, then that won't be good for us. At worst case scenario, we can aim for the last wild card spot. It is good that they added that this year.

MIL with another impressive win and back to back series wins over playoff teams. Kudos on the win 👍.

Obviously, when Milwaukee was in the midst of their 9 losses in 10 games, there was reason to be concerned. This said, this series was impressive. They took the series from a good Toronto club (that lineup is a fun one to watch) and used two AAA pitchers who are filling in for injuries to Woodruff, Peralta, etc. Wong also has been out for some time.

They also had a good series with St. Louis. The point is, it's impressive they've hung on here and bodes well when they have their three top pitchers together again. If the offense could ever find consistency, they'll be a tough team to beat for most clubs.

What a difference a year makes. Last season, Game #2, Berrios pitched a one hitter, outdueling Burnes 2 - 0

I commented a couple of weeks ago saying if the Jays Brass don't address the pitching problem, and I was mostly talking about the bullpen. But the bullpen problem is like an infection, without a consistent bullpen it puts pressure on the starters to go deeper and ultimately puts pressure day to day on our offense. So bottom line Pitching and defense goes along way but our offense cannot win 7-6, 8-7, 10-9 and so on. So the harder our hitters try to carry the team the worse it gets. When we get good pitching and the offense is relaxed and having fun, that's when we'll succeed. I remember the old days a few years before we won the world series. Our bullpen was really bad and the starters were pretty good. Dave Steib was as good as you could get when it came to starters but he went crazy and never wanted to come out with a lead because they knew the bullpen would blow it, our offense was young and talented and bailed the bullpen out a lot of nights, but we were lucky we had a lot of great offensive and defensive players that could cover up our weakness, but it wasn't until we got our bullpen in order before everyone started to have fun and WIN ALOT. The proof was in Back to Back World Series wins. Pat Gillick was a genius and he orchestrated all the trades to make our team amazing and talented from top to bottom. Such a fun time to watch Baseball. Let's hope Jay's Brass can do the same thing. Go Jays !!!
