I was born and raised in old Kapoho Isaac Hale beach park bring many shared memories.my great grandmother is Eunice Hale.we are Hale through and through.. I was born in 1947.young enough to remember living there during the 1950 at the Hale beach house which still remain. I have pictures of Isaac Hale.thank you for sharing.MAHALO.

That was some awesome photography. It brought back a lot of memories of when I was a younger me and spent 4 weeks biking around the island. Camped at Kalapana for a week and rode that red road when it was brick on day rides on my way up to Pahoa. You live in a magical place.
Btw, when I was there 45 years ago I stood at that major intersect by Isaac Hale and saw a moonscape as far as I could see. Then it became something different. And now it is again. That's the island in a nutshell I think.
