I have to confess I wasn't always a big Passion label fan. A lot of the songs seemed too simple & unsophisticated, & the backing tracks often sounded thin & weedy. There were notable exceptions though! Louise Thomas's debut double A side "Feels Lile Love " / "One Way Ticket " was terrific. Astaire's releases I always rated, she seemed to get the better songs . I think this song is one of their triumphs. A real torch song, full of melancholy & unrequited love, the pain & struggles of life.

I can remember it being difficult to program as the BPM was way up in the 130's. and most of the melancholic / sad tracks were much lower tempo. But it was successful, and as with much of Passions output, it was heavily requested.

My only gripe is that it was mastered & pressed so poorly. And I've yet to find a digital copy that's not from the original vinyl. The song & vocal I still rate highly though.

Tracy Ackerman, very distinctive voice. She appeared on so many hinrg tracks, back in the 80s.
