Countering the Kremlin Playbook in the Black Sea Region after Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine

The Black Sea region is particularly vulnerable to energy and climate security risks as Russia remains one of the main oil and gas suppliers to the region and local Kremlin-linked state capture networks have preserved their leverage over the countries’ foreign and national security policy decision-making.

During the roundtable, CSD will present an assessment of European energy and climate security risks and will recommend policy action for strengthening sanctions enforcement in the European energy sector.
