For me, its even easier to be even less rule bound. Simply only have 2 meals and an optional snack. Have the first one when you feel hungry and the second one when you feel hungry next. I find the body can handle it much better when you follow these inner ques.

I did this same intermittent fasting strategy with a few differences. Its very helpful to combine the 2 pm fast with cardio in the morning, which allows you to burn calories on an empty stomach. I also would not be too strict about the 8pm cut off window. I was eating well past the 8pm window time and still had amazing results. The main focus is not loading your body up with calories in the morning, causing your body to burn those calories as opposed to reaching into fat stores.

I've been doing this accidentally lol I wake up late so I eat at 2 p.m and last meal at 8p.m but I would have midnight snacks. After watching this video I'm just gonna try my best to avoid those midnight cravings.

Hello, I have an important question. I am currently doing keto with 2 meals a day do lose body fat. I always eat around 1500-1550 calories. The first meal is at 12 p.m/1 p.m and the second one is at 4 p.m/5 p.m. I did this for over a month now and was thinking about my calorie splitting. I always splitting it like that: First meal - 210 calories (yogurt and salad) and the second one is my meal with about 1300 calories. Should I change it a bit? More calories in my first meal and a bit less in my second one?
Would like to hear from you!

I eat brunch/lunch and dinner, I give myself a range so I can make it a lifestyle for the rest of my days, so my first meal is between 11am -1pm and second is between 6pm - 8pm so I don't think too much about it and just go about my day, if it's 10am in the morning and I feel hungry I tell myself it's just another hour then I can eat, some times when it reach 11am I don't even feel hungry anymore and end up eating at 12 or 1pm that way it's easier to stick to and also I try to be mindful but not count calories, just make sure my meals are balanced with carbs (brown rice, whole wheat pasta or potato etc) veggies and Protein, I also eat a normal portion of food even If I'm not the one who cooked the food and I don't know the calories, I don't pile food onto my plate or jump for the food scale. I try to exercise 3-4x a week for about 20-30 mins whether it's dancing or a workout on YouTube and I walk at minimum 7, 000 steps a day, and last but not least sleep 7-8 hours every night. Also between the 2 meals which is optional, if I feel I could snack I would eat some fruits around 3 or 5pm melons are my favs (cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew etc) and berries, sometimes apples or bananas if I feel.

I have a question: if you keep the calories low anyway, why do we need a window? I mean, say you allow yourself 1200 calories a day. Why eat the calories within a 6 or 8 hour window and not just eat the 1200 calories throughout the day? What difference does the window make? Does it cut drastically down on hunger to make the diet more doable? I am seriously wanting to know what the difference would be. You never mentioned the number of calories that you would recommend. If the window does indeed make a difference in weight loss, please sign me up!

Hey serious question. I’m in pretty good shape and eat healthy. I understand that you say to put 40% of your calories for the day at 2 pm. But what would be problematic about eating a healthy meal at 2 pm that’s only 20% of my total calories and then between that and my next meal I eat fruits and salad. What I’m saying is how can I be sure I get all the essential nutrients and vitamins I need to be healthy?

It is only fast if you already have a lot of muscle, to a regular person it won´t be that fast. Those videos are always made by someone who only have a small layer of fat above muscle... More muscle = more calories needed to sustain, they get thinner faster.
