I know it's very different from my usual content, but I really wanted to share a story regarding how I've had to deal with racism and personal experiences with feeling like an outcast. I hope you can watch this video and walk out of it with something that helps you out in your personal life, especially if you're a person of colour.

Let's prove that the statement "People Won't Like You If You're Brown" is a load of crap, yeah?

the end really hit me hard. as a Algerian Muslim with pale white skin and freckles, i feel ashamed that i don't resemble my culture. my school is mostly filled with arab muslims, so i got made fun of for not being darker. i always drew characters with dark skin or tan skin, because i had envy towards them. but this video taught me that i shouldn't have to hate my skin, because no matter what i do or how i act, it will never matter what i looked like. I am Muslim and i'm proud.

I’m Mexican, I’m lucky I didn’t have to go through this, I feel deep sympathy for those who have.

It's heartbreaking to see kids getting racially singled out and treated badly for the color of their skin
further inforcing the hate cycle
so proud of you bro for speaking your heart out about your personal experience and being this honest and self-aware 🤎🤎🤎

This is my favorite video from you~ despite the past you were honest and straight forward with everyone, you talked about yourself and giving other people hope to be proud of their skin color, even if not brown, but everyone, it's a wonderful video about self acceptance~ 🤎🤎🤎

I'm so happy you worked up the courage to talk about this!! I'm so sorry you had to experience those terrible things. You're human! You deserve happiness just as well, and you should be proud of who you are, and your culture <333

Damn this hit hard. I moved to the west as an adult so I'm still at the very beginning of my journey with dealing with racism and I feel like first gen people went through this at a much earlier age and I feel like it's taking an emotional toll on me.

I understand this soo much mazz they really make it obvious we are different. Black, brown, Asian, any color. The race barrier is something I will never understand We’re all just the same on the inside. I love you mazz keep your head up you inspired me a lot and I love helping represent in the animation community not just for the people who look like me but for the people who are different like us. Just know we love you and we love how unique you are. Fuck what racists think bro Be unapologetically different and proud of who you are! I’m proud of you and I love you! This video almost had me in tears!Especially every day getting constantly reminded that I’m black. But I’ve decided to look at it a different way. It’s my life to live and I’m only here once and even though the racist comments hurt a lot, I love being brown and I want those racist people to stay mad about me being brown. You’re brown boy out here winning. Keep winning in front of all of these people that make you feel different. You’ve got the mind of God I love you 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎

I grew up as a child bullied for her skin colour and teachers, classmates, friends .. there were so many of these people who kept hurting me by saying things as if only if i were fair they would acknowledge me as a normal person. Now i just feel so scared of even meeting people fearing they will call me out not for who i am but what i am not.

Man, this really hit right into my heart. As a Bangladeshi who spent 5 years in Japan as an elementary schooler and now 4 years in Australia as a uni student, I really felt like I was not fitting well into any of the culture. I feel so lucky that I never truly faced racism but I did hear someone saying 'he's too Japanese' in a condesending way back in my own country. I am glad that I found this channel and would love to see more of your content !

This was such a great video and is going to open a lot of people's eyes.

Everyone around me at school knows that I'm a White South African. I know that isn't as bad as not being white but it is unbelievable how many racist comments I get. If it is a water joke, how I am white, my parents, or why I got good marks if I'm African. The worst part is that I play along with it. I can't imagine how much worse this is for a Non-White person. The courage to talk about this on the world stage like you did is beyond me. My case is just mild compared to yours and the many people that have had similar or worse.

Good job.

The fact the people can relate to this is horrible. Being racist is not okay and people should be viewed equally. Anyway, amazing video maaz.

I don't normally watch many StoryTime genre animations, and this is the first video I've ever seen of yours. 13:03 is the moment I was hoping for! So happy to see that transition! :)
