👉 Learn how to solve quadratic equations using the quadratic formula. A quadratic equation is an equation whose highest power on its variable(s) is 2. The quadratic formula is a formula which can be used to find the roots of (solve) a quadratic equation.

The quadratic formula is given by x = (-b +/- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)) / 2a, where a is the coefficient of the quadratic term (x^2), b is the coefficient of the linear term (x) and c is the constant term. Thus, to solve a quadratic equation using the quadratic formula, first identify the 'a', 'b' and the 'c' of the quadratic equation and plug them into the quadratic formula and evaluate accordingly.

Well, thanks for this. All this time, I thought I already "mastered" Quadratic Formula. I know how to take roots, but I didn't know you can leave a real number but not a perfect square with a radical in it. On the past days of learning whole set of Completing the Squares, there, yeah no way of getting simplified answer when there's still real but not perfect square number. All this time, I've been removing radical sign after solving b^2 - 4ac wether it's perfect square or not because it will define the nature of roots according to our system, so at this point, I thought it will be 5±61/2 (66/2 and 56/2).
