Many singers have a hard time singing from the diaphragm and getting out of their throat.

Unfortunately, singing from the throat can make you strain and sound very nasal.

Today, I'll show you a quick test to see if you're singing from your throat and how to fix it.

I have autism. Explanations like this are so necessary because just telling me to do something with no physical explanation is useless to me. I’ve taken years of singing lessons and this is the first explanation that ever helped me to truly understand. Thank you so much❤❤❤

It just wouldn't be Blink 182 though without the throat singing

I use to get so frustrated with my teacher because he use to tell me to sing from my diaphragm but I didn't understand... If he had explained to me like this I would have stayed.

This is the best vocal channel on youtube. It is all the info from classical vocal training explained impeccably in easily digestible bits. It is your explanations that really make the channel special. Keep it up. You've made a huge difference in my life. When I hit it big, I'll be telling people to check you out. To all the future singers, keep at it, keep practicing. For me it literally happened nearly overnight after thousands of hours of practice and sounding awful.

When I was in middle school, my clarinet private lesson teacher told me to yawn before playing. By opening up and relaxing the space in your throat, literally more air can pass through it. It helps with voice AND playing wind instruments. Interestingly, when my throat was tight, my harder (higher) notes on the clarinet were harder to get out and sound good. By relaxing, those notes were easier. Considering beginning singer tend to not push enough air through, I think that's another reason this helps for singing.

okay i’ve been working on this for months and ONE VIDEO helps me with using my soft palate and avoiding singing from my throat (WHICH is super dangerous btw, i’m recovering from an injury brought on by throat singing so was feeling discouraged, much appreciation!)
