I was definitely meant to watch this video. Several weeks ago I had a consult with an MD plastic surgeon who wanted to do liposuction on my neck accompanied with laser. This didn’t make sense as my neck is loose skin. I expressed that I wanted permanent rather than temporary results. He said, “nothing is permanent…this treatment will look great for up to three years”. He charged me for a consultation and spent 10 minutes with me. In my opinion, he was rude and unprofessional. Thank you so much for putting the truth out there. Too many dangerous clinicians out to make money with no concern for the dangers of mutilating someone’s appearance. It’s terrifying to say the least

I really love that you cut to the truth! Thank you for being honest and saving us time, energy and disappointment. I only wish the others did this!

Well, believe it or not, neck exercises and massages helped A LOT to me, I know doctors or treatments jonkies dont want to believe it, but it does work.

I think it is unfair to do a short on any serious surgery, there are so many factors to consider. And yes you have done long videos. But you are speaking to many people that count on the whole story. Also most people who do get surgical facelifts still have to address the skin. The facelift only lifts the skin . It doesn’t address wrinkles dark spot etc. also I feel you should if you are going to do shorts . Nothing permanent not even surgical lifts. A lot of the treatments you are striking down do allow some difference and perhaps some people would like to grow gracefully with out surgery, perhaps because of cost health etc. I believe you only deal with one side of your professional practice. And to be honest to everyone you should really address the other treatments for what they can do. There is never all or nothing when it comes to adjusting one’s body. But there is an influence that appears to be one sided on your channel. Please try not to steer people in one direction or the other without spending the time to address alternatives in your professional option. Your certification carries a lot of weight with the public.

With all the all the world events, I cannot believe my mirror that shows my neck cords now so soft and aging. I thought it would never happen to me. My mother lived to 93 and our necks now match. It is wonderful to wake up each day, I will pray for who I can help and just avoid large mirrors. Not everyone lives to be 70, I will not spend $9000 on my neck repair.

If you're older and overweight than what you're saying is absolutely true. If you're older and thin like you were when you were a youngster then I think that preventative things do help.

That was super helpful. There are distinct differences between temporary "make you think it's better" treatments and going to the root of the problem. And a distinction between skill level of surgeons. An "S" lift wouldn't likely help.

Fantastic, straight to the point in the simplest terms

I have always had a double chin, then when I lost weight it turned into a turkey neck. I had surgery and it was successful 🤗

Of course a plastic surgeon is going to push surgery. I have had amazing results with facial yoga. Yes we have muscles in our face and guess what. As our body ages and loses muscle, so does our face. We have to work for muscle tone after 50 on our body. Makes sense we have to do the same for my face. I have significantly reduced crows feet with exercise.

Not the news we want, but the news we *need*. Thank you 🙏

You’ve hit the nail on the head! I’m a primary care physician in an affluent area between LA and Santa Barbara and I can certainly attest to the absolute TRUTH of what you say! Only very careful surgery can correct this. I STRONGLY suggest that those watching this lay off Kybella, fillers, etc., and when the time is right, go for a surgery rather than these potentially harmful non-invasive treatments.

Nope that Kybella worked awesome for me!

What about staying lean? Is fat synonymous with aging? Maybe if people don't gain weight they won't lose tone In the neck.

What about Botox for platysmal bands? I always wondered are they expose because they’re weak or because they’re over used in tight? Tight does it mean overused all the time and can mean that it’s weak

Genetics play a major role. I’m 47 with no fat under my chin. My mum is the same.

You make me want to have cosmetic surgery. I’ve never though about it before because it looked so fake on people. I’ll be 60 in October, but I can’t afford this luxury. Showing me that it can be done well, is driving me nuts. Now I want something abhorrently expensive that I can’t afford. I wish you could go away, but now I’m a bit addicted to your channel. You have ruined the last part of my life.
