THANK YOU for this piece. I had Ulthera on my face and my submentum (area under chin)

Thankfully, no effect one way or another on my face.

Submentum went from looking fine to sagging with “distorted architecture”.

A plastic surgeon who used to work for the company that developed Ulthera, not knowing that I had had it done !), asked if I had.

I said “yes, how did you know?”

He said that’s what the submentum looks like when it is used on a setting that’s too high.

The rest of my neck looks fine and now my neck looks like I’m 70 (I’m 50).

I’ve had Skintyte 3 times, first two times it temporarily helped.

Doesn’t help anymore.

Only thing that would fix it is a neck lift, and a neck lift really needs to be part of at least a mid face facelift because it’s all connected.

Jennifer Fick, RN, who was then at epicenter Medspa in San Francisco did the treatment.

Ironically, she was one of the best people working there, generally very skilled.

She just didn’t have experience with Ulthera.

And as another person, commented, this is probably the most painful nonsurgical procedure that there is.

I didn’t think I was going to be able to make it through it.

I’ve had painful procedures before, but nothing comes close to how horrifically painful this is.

ultherapy gets in deeper layers, so the wrong doctor can really make irreparable damage. It's a good device and I get this treatment, but you need a very good doctor and you need to know what it can do to you at its worst

This happened to me. I don't understand why it is still on the market. I'm so sad about it.

Even the inventors of Ulthera admitted that the device doesn't completely spare the tissue above and below the SMAS. They twisted the truth as well as they could, but had to admit that.

Ulthera is an EXCELLENT treatment in the hands of the thoroughly trained Medical Professional. Where I get my treatments, the MedPros are trained for 4 times the industry standard. I've had treatments annually ( even though the results last up to 2 years.. I like results to come faster than the speed of aging 😊) and have great results. I am 56 and people guess me for late 30s early 40s. I'll take it!
Ultherapy is as good as the MedPro's training. Can it melt facial fat? Sure! If the MedPro is not trained well enough! The device monitor shows the MedPro where to treat and not to treat. If they follow their training, results can be great.

I spent $5, 600 on this and it did NOTHING, the salon today me to just wait, but it never changed anything, my friends laughed and told me I should have just given them the money.

Its important to note, all procedures have risks. Most of the time they work great and are very safe but when they don't it can be devastating.

i didn't see much of a different on my neck with some pain.. i think it sagged my neck.. i liked my neck before the procedure...I only tried the procedure once .. i found a device i was using at home.. give me a better result .. and i make a big mistake going for the Ultheraphy ..you better off with home devices or cosmetic surgery. WASTE OF MONEY

A facial plastic surgeon has to make facial plastic surgery appear better then non invasive treatments and point out its risks BUT a therapist specialising in non invasive facial treatments will make the opposite statements
