If you have oil in the cylinders, you already have a problem.. like a fractured oil gallery caused from excessive wear of the cold engine block having shrunk due to the cold and the cylinders expanding faster as they are the first to heat up, using up fuel does not damage the engine, at all., oil is below the combustion chamber and held down with the Piston rings, so warming up the car at idle does no damage, pitting the cold engine under load has more damaging effects, as the cold engine block does not warm up as quickly as the pistons, so the expanded pistons press against the colder, unexpanded block and that's when the piston rings crack, letting oil into the cylinder and then your theory starts, once the damage is already done. Most cars have an ECU which alters the air fuel mixture at idle, either using the idle control valve on a cable driven throttle body, or simply fluctuating the open/closed position if the throttle body in an electronically controlled body, meaning the car knows when it's cold, and the car will run its self rich to heat up faster at idle, and because the engine speed is less than 1000 rpm, no damage can be done, once the car is warmed up it runs the correct AFR for driving, so actually, driving on a cold engine, on a rich AFR is really bad, you get detonation, wearing the piston heads, cracking the rings, so, this video is giving false information..

one cool thing you should add to the car underwater thing is the head peace for the seat, you can shove that into the window and the car door peace so where the window and the door meet, if you shove it hard enough the window will break

Idling a vehicle for warm up does not damage the engine!! The air/fuel mixture is controlled by MAF MAP and in modern vehicles temperature sensors. Fuel is an excellent way to remove oil from a surface, but the interior engine parts dont let these two mix. piston rings divide the two. If you have a diesel engine, you MUST warm up the vehicle before driving in the winter, or it WILL do damage.
