What Happens When You Encounter A Wild Pokemon Egg?

In Pokemon Games, Eggs usually come from breeding two Pokemon Together. What would happen if we modified the game to let us encounter eggs?

► In the world of Pokemon Games, there are mysterious things called Eggs. Eggs are usually produced from Pokemon Breeding when two compatible Pokemon are put in the daycare together. However, what would happen if you modified the games to allow you to encounter eggs in the wild? How would the games react?
Today, I'll be playing Pokemon Gold/Silver and Crystal, Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, Pokemon Black and White, Pokemon X and Y, and Pokemon Sun and Moon to allow us to encounter EGGS in the wild. Will they hatch? How will the games react?

I just find it hilarious that the gen four games do a bunch of random things one after the other when something's not supposed to happen.

You know, my sister made a bad egg after hacking Pearl version, and eventually traded it into Heartgold version (it crashed dozens of times before it worked). After which, she used it in the Pokeathlon. That egg broke the pokeathlon so bad, that she had the highest score possible on every course. Lamp Jump, all Pokemon get stunned, all lamps get hit for 5 points, and repeat as soon as the lamps turn on again. Relay race, if you run into a certain rock, it will teleport you to lap 99, and if you complete another lap, it goes back to lap 99. That's just the tip of the iceberg with what happened.

I wonder if the step counter for that Gen 2 egg actually had a limit or if it was just bugged out entirely. Meaning either unhatchable or had a step counter of something like 999, 999.

I agree with other people comments. They should add in Pokémon games where we can find eggs in the wild and just pick them up xD than we could hatch them

The game with the glitched colors is actually just the AMERICAN version of the game.
