Kami Rita Sherpa has just made his 28th summit of Everest! His 38th summit of 8000 meter peaks including K2! One of the greatest athletes of all time!

Leave the bodies, get the trash down. I personally think that’s a better use of resources, but that’s just my opinion

Thanks for all your updates Thom! Very appreciative.
I wanted to ask if there’s someone I can talk to about helping with getting the camps cleaned up. Letting the Sherpa know that we can honor their sacred mountain by returning the true beauty of when George Mallory made his one statement that still resounds, “Because it’s there”.
I’m a retired veteran that would love nothing more than traveling to Base Camp. I have no want to climb to the top of the world. Over 30+ years in law enforcement has left me with disabilities that probably wouldn’t do well in the cold extremes. I think working base camp and helping wherever I can would be so awesome. I saw Sir Edmund Hillary’s dedication to brining schools to the Sherpa and I’d love to help them succeed.
Again, thanks Thom.

My buddy is a rock climber. He told me on his bucket list that climbing Mount everest is the last thing he would do. I never knew what he meant till now. So many people go up quite afew stay behind.

Oh, no! I was hoping that with the good weather this year there might be fewer fatalities. Proper respect to those who summited.

They’ve got an open air grave yard of obviously frozen bodies on the side of the mountain 🏔️ that’s about as macabre as you can get .

So sad. May he rest in peace. May all that knew him find comfort in their memories of the times you spent together.

His last name means "cheese" in Romanian, the native language of Moldovans. RIP, cheese.

People are so different, some people make it 27 times and some people's don't make it once. And I wonder what makes the big difference? Is it just pure tenacity in some people?

I think it unconscionable that 6 people have died on this trek as if their life means nothing while people everywhere are searching for replacement organs trying to live just one more day.
