What MythBusters DIDN'T Film

"What was an aspect of creating MythBusters that wasn't suitable to be on-screen, but you wish more people knew about?" "How did you develop such a good relationship with the people at the bomb range, fire department and other governmental agencies?" and "How many different myths were you working on at the same time?" Tested Patron members Grovespaz, Andrew Myren and Fix It Tony asked these questions during our Nov. 9 live stream, and we thank them for their support and great questions! "Left every location better than we found it" This comment brings back memories of all those run-ins with the fence at the runway...

Also Adam: "Next question is from Fix It Tony - by the way, when you're talkikng about two-seater sports cars-"

A high school buddy of mine was Italian and had a Fiat we joked with him about...my Dad goes by Tony and he was a self-taught handyman—yeah my handle is sort of homage to him and the stuff he taught me.

That reminds me of a time we were building his current house and the framer (Italian himself including accent) responded to one of my Dad’s comments saying, “Tony, we do it right because we do it twice!”

Great video! Thank you for all you do!

I always wanted Mike Rowe to do a Dirty Jobs episode cleaning up after a Myth Busters shoot.

I could literally watch a whole tv series with the title "Making a TV Show with Adam Savage"

Having been a member of the "Bomb Squad" for years, I can tell you that every bomb tech will run at the opportunity to use explosives, especially if we can do something grand an learn from others.

I remember the Jaws myth (shooting a dive cylinder to make it explode), and how the FBI sent someone to watch and learn, since someone could conceivably use something like that for terrorist purposes. I totally get how law enforcement would take a keen interest in these types of episode, and want to help make them happen.

I love Adam's reactions to little random interruptions, like "oh, I'm getting a package" to "quiet you". Don't know why, but I find it endearing and charming. 😄

Fun fact: There's a german version of that FIAT joke, which is "Fehler in allen Teilen" (failure in all parts)

The way Adam's eyes light up as he starts talking about Mythbusters. What a genuine soul

This trip down memory lane has me missing Mr. Grant Imahara. Still a happy memory just not as happy.

I always figured the bomb squad bros loved you so much was the same reason I loved the show so much. If it doesn't blow up...then you _make_ it blow up.

"Left every location better than we found it"

An action often overlooked and undervalued by many members of society. This goes a long way in terms of respect and I'm sure every location host was very appreciated of this mindset.

I like how he proceeds to go on a tangent about FIATs after explaining his tendency to go on tangents in discussions

My wife and I went to MythBusters Live in Portland, and really enjoyed it. At one point Adam laid on a bed on names and pretty much immediately yelled "SHIT!" and then looked shocked and said "This is a family show!", easily the funniest part of the show.

I've cried during every episode of the last season of Mythbusters, culminating in watching the last episode through tears in my eyes almost the entire time. Granted, I've had a smile on my face too. Thank you, you've made my childhood amazing, you've taught me to understand and not to fear. Finding this channel, years ago, even Jamie was still making appearances, made me squee with joy, I can have your enthusiasm and knowledge on demand any time I want. The whole team of Mythbusters and Tested is doing a great service to so many lives around the world, thank you!

Mythbusters was probably one of the most uniquely brilliant and inspiring TV shows that has ever and will ever be brought to audiences.
