Im old enough to remember when Squaresoft were an incredible inovative company then they merged with Enix and went downhill from there join the ranks of Obsidian Konami Capcom and Bioware in the toilet I guess.

If anyone is thinking that Lara Croft, Kain and Adam Jenson are coming back as badasses under this new ownership, you're wrong. Square Enix sold the Fear Effect IP sometime between 2010 and 2011. The new owners retconed the relationship between Hana and Rain forcing them to be a couple for the LGBTQ mob for the RPG. But it's remaster of the 1st game is stuck in development hell.

This is so frustrating. Crystal Dynamics was worth $300 million in itself. Not to mention that Square Enix has been ignoring Legacy of Kain for YEARS.

I'd love to see something happen to finish the Legacy of Kain series, but it feels like it might be too late. We've lost Tony Jay who would of been key for any final game and I don't know if any the other voices actors and writers would be interested. If we can't guarantee a top tier storyline to finish it, it might be better left as is.

Let's hope Jeff Ross can help to save Tomb Raider. He did a good job on Uncharted Golden Abyss. So is the perfect pick for a Tomb Raider game. He was going to make a Uncharted prequel starring a younger Sully and it would of been about a bank heist and spy's. But it didn't come together sadly.

They should sell there translators for smaller releases and remasters that keep getting mistranslated.

On one side Im glad they went to Embracer, but as a Lara Croft/Tomb Raider fan of the first hour Ive little hope they will restore the ip to its real identity, and will continue with the "Third Wave Feminist/Sarkeesian" reboots. Which killed the franchise (which was bigger than just the games). Back than the o.g. fanbase rejecting all the reboots had an impact, not to mention it was the first gaming ip that felt into the clutches of Third Wave Feminism. Which they used to attack and forced themselves into gaming, but now with gaming being mainstream the o.g. fanbase isnt needed. Unlike Square who wanted to fully profit of the entire franchise; I think Embracer is just satisfied if the game just makes a profit.
