Putin Says Russia Will Not Use Conscripts in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a video message published in the early hours of Tuesday that conscripts "are not and will not be involved in combat operations" in Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
He added that the reserves would also not be mobilized.
"The set goals will be achieved only by professional soldiers. I am confident that they will reliably ensure security and peace for the Russian people," Putin added.
In the video released on International Women's Day, Putin also addessed, "the mothers, wives, sisters, brides and girlfriends of our soldiers and officers", telling them they "can be proud of them".
