How to fix a car ignition switch that won’t turn

Here is how to fix a car ignition switch that won’t turn. If you put your key in your car’s ignition, and the car key won’t turn, most likely the problem is that there’s tension on the steering wheel lock. Maybe you parked the car while you were turning the steering wheel and then took the key out. If your car ignition switch won’t turn, the easy way to get it to turn is to feel the tension on the steering wheel by trying to turn it left and right, and you will find that the steering wheel will turn one way, but won’t turn the other way. Then turn the steering wheel in the direction that it is able to move just enough so that you don’t feel it stopping either way, and then turn the ignition switch, and you’ll find that you can turn the ignition switch on your car now.
