I read that she was resentful of her biological family for what happened to her "mom". Although it's understandable because her life was turned upside down, the woman that kidnapped her actually robbed her from having the life she could've had with a sister. The whole situation is just heartbreaking. And I feel for her biological mom, who was finally able to reunite with her stolen child only to receive such a negative response.

Miche still talks to and visits the woman who kidnapped her. She kept relationships with the family that raised her and formed relationships with her biological family. I believe the woman that took her had faked a pregnancy or miscarried but didn’t want to lose her husband so she kidnapped her. The dad who raised her never knew and wasn’t charged. It’s a sad story all around.

I remember a tragedy where 2 women gave birth to the same hospital same day, and their sons were switched, the other mom imprinted on her son and received a different one, and she keeps on telling that, but the husband didn't believe. Until one day I forgot how she found her real son and talked the parents that they had switched sons, the boys were 5 or 6 that time, it was really hard for both parents to surrender the boys, so they have decided to see each other or visit each other's house just to interact with their own child.

It's sad for Miche because the situation has created so much pain for her. I feel the situation has left her torn. Understandably so. She was originally named Zephany. She said her bio fam was happy and hugging her because they were so happy to finally have her back, so she went along with it all for a while but inside she felt nothing because they were strangers to her. She even expressed resentment at one point towards them because they took away the mother that she knew and loved, even though that mother was her kidnapper. Last I read, her bio parents got divorced and she ended up staying with the dad ( he played no part in the kidnapping according to the investigation) who raised her, and she longs/waits for the mother that raised her to be released from prison after she serves her sentence for kidnapping her. I think she's had two children since then.
I cannot imagine the mental and emotional toll this has taken on everyone involved.

I can't begin to imagine the relief of not only finding out that you're kidnapped child is alive but that they were well cared for and not damaged!!! Unbelievable what she went through all those years wondering what happened to her baby.

I hate that these hospitals were so easy to access back then. There are so many stories of women dressing up as nurses and walking into an infant ward and pick up a baby and ruin a family’s life.

I’m glad her real family got back
