If Americans ate bacon and eggs every breakfast, it would probably be a lot healthier than the current breakfast of choice: sugary cereals, donuts, and juice. Essentially, all people eat for breakfast is simple carbohydrates.

breakfast makes more sense if youre working on a farm... not super necessary if youre an office worker.

A light breakfast had probably been the norm for thousands of years, at least before farming. Before farming (and before office work lol), you would have probably woken up, eaten some nuts and fruits, then spent the whole day hunting for lunch and dinner and repeated the cycle the next day. Nobody had refrigerators so it's not like you had a choice on what to eat the next day.

The thing I DON'T like in this video is that it implies that those doctors who say that a heavy breakfast is healthier are wrong. A statement in an marketing campaign is either true or false. If in fact a heavy breakfast is better for you, who are we to hate on Bernays for cerating a healthier habit AND making breakfast item markets soar? Information and manipulation have to be always distinguished.
