The suspension on the M3 is much firmer and it will be much quicker around the track

They are both 3.0L I6, but they are completely different motors, and an M3 and M340i drive completely differently.

More comfrable suspension enough power for most in stock form. Also can be tuned a lot if that isnt enough. Even when tuned cheaper than M3

I think what he means is for the common person, that probably doesn’t take their car to the track, the M340i is sufficient. It’s on my list for next possible cars lol

This and the m5 i think are my favorite when it comes to looks on current bmw, the z3 may be ugly to others but I think it looks so cool

I had an M440 GC and just took delivery of my manual G80. Feels like a totally different car - way more connected and visceral

If you can afford an M3.... you buy an M3... the 340i is nothing like an M3.

Even though the s58 is derived from the b58, they are still entirely different engines. S58 is an incredible beast.

If you can afford it, definitely buy the M3. With the exception of the doors and boot lid, every other part on the car is unique and an upgrade…especially the engine which is not even close.
