Jesus Did NOT Die for the Sins of Every Person

In this video we will discuss one of the most despised doctrines in all of Christianity - Limited Atonement.

This is the idea from scripture, which is mostly only believed by those who hold to reformed, or calvinistic theology, that the blood of Christ only covers the sins of the elect - those that God foreknew and predestined to be conformed to the image of his son before the foundation of the world.

Limited atonement is one of the highest affirmations of the Trinity. God the Father chooses his elects, while God the Son offers his sacrifice in accordance to what the Father determined. Neither the Son can go beyond what the Father has chosen and established, nor the Father can elect less of whom the Son will pay and atone for.

You believed the gospel when you heard it as a child. Later, as an adolescent, you started to rebel against the truth you already knew. Aware of your rebellion, you tried to make a decision for Christ but couldn't. You couldn't make yourself believe because salvation doesn't work that way. It's God's grace that saves.

Oddly enough it was listening to Mike explain why he thought calvinism was false that got me turned in the right direction. What he said didn't align with what I read in scripture. I started studying more and when I came accross Dr White and others like him who were consistent and biblical in thier teaching, I knew that I was finally hearing proper teaching.

To say that Christ’s sacrificial death, which is the highest expression of divine love to man, applies equally to all without exception and then observe that a multitude of mankind has and is entering a Christless eternity certainly does not magnify God’s love or His wisdom. Will God love those who are in hell equally with the redeemed who are with Christ in eternity?

God not only paid for our sins, but the sins of the whole world.
He now commands all men everywhere to repent and believe.
Faith is not a work, but if we have faith in Him, He is trustworthy, in that He keeps His promises. All who calls upon the Lord will be saved, if we take God on His words we can call out to Him and say: "We cannot save ourselves, help me, save me.'
He then saves whoever He wills, and I do believe the Scriptures show that He will save the ones who call out for Him to do so, not because He has to, as if He had a forcing collar on, but because He have chosen that those who trust in His finished work on the cross will be saved.
We do not believe that God have to save anyone, God does it because of his Grace and Loving Kindness.

However, if I am wrong, which I could be, I am a human after all, and Calvinistic/Reformed theology is right, and God has decreed all things that comes to pass, then, as of yet, he has not decreed for me to believe that theological system to be biblical.
Peace, brethren.

These videos are very well done. The gritty, earthy qualities to them are perfectly in character with the Rogue theme. And your ideas are expressed very well also.

I find it both funny and frustrating how synergists quote Bible verses (eg, Jn 3:16, 1 Jn 2:2) and think that ends the argument, as if monergists have never even heard of those verses and have never thought about them. If synergists would actually try to understand the storyline of the Bible, from old covenant sacrifices to new covenant fulfillment in Christ, if they connected the consistency of what atonement actually achieves in biblical terminology, not just look at one verse here and there and say "look Jesus died for all and all means all and world means world and whoever means whoever!" (as if Reformed theologians have never parsed the meanings of those words in their specific contexts), synergists might actually begin to see the unity and consistency and harmony of the Godhead in salvation for wretched sinners like me. Good video brother.

1 John 2:2 King James

And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; 2and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2

Of course Christ died for the sins of every person. The Bible is clear:

"in Christ God was reconciling THE WORLD to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation"
2 Corinthians 5:19

"For Christ also suffered ONCE FOR SINS, the righteous for the unrighteous (that includes everyone who has ever lived), that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, " 1 Peter 3:18

"He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD." 1 John 2:2

"For the death he died he died to sin, ONCE FOR ALL, but the life he lives he lives to God." Romans 6:10

"He entered ONCE FOR ALL into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption." Hebrews 9:12

"The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away THE SIN OF THE WORLD!" John 1:29

"But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might TASTE DEATH FOR EVERYONE." Hebrews 2:9

"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that THE WORLD might be saved through him." John 3:17

"And he DIED FOR ALL, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised." 2 Corinthians 5:15

There are more but these should be sufficient. Calvinists are in error on this topic, as the verses above show time and time again. To be clear, I am not a Universalist. The reason not everyone goes to heaven isn't that Christ's sacrifice wasn't for them: it was most certainly for them! But some people reject the gift. It would be the same if a father offered an inheritance to his two sons: one accepts the gift in humility and gratitude, but the other in his pride and rebellion (i.e. sin) rejects it. The gift is still the gift, but the one who rejects receives no benefit from it.

He clearly has no clue what reconciliation means --- it would mean that God is seeing us in a good standing apart from faith, this fails epically according to John 3:36 The wrath of God abides on him, because he has not believe on the name of the only begotten Son of God. How is that possible if the world there means everyone lol??

Dying for the sins of those who will never be saved seems to me to be something that the Father would not allow. His system of foreknowledge, predestining, calling, justifying, and glorifying, insures that for His purpose the elect would be conformed to the image of his Son (Romans 8). If not for God drawing us to Him, no one would ever be saved, as no one seeks God on their own (Romans 3). Did Jesus die for the antichrist? Or the false prophet? Might they repent and turn to Jesus? What a mess of Revelation that would be!

When I want to refute reformed theology all I do is read my Bible. It's planly stated.

5:29 you’re committing a false dichotomy between synergism and monergism. Belief or Faith is NOT A WORK. Paul makes this very clear. God credits man righteous through faith but does not credit him righteous through works. Monergism is still intact by doctrine of FAITH and salvation is not by any work of man but only of Christ.

This is the problem with systematic theology. You strain a gnat and swallow a camel. If you hear his voice, you want to obey, so you repent and move towards him in obedience to the law we have been given. Which is the same today as it was, and will be, but through Mashiach, our estate is restored.
