The pressure increases as the height of the liquid column is increased.

Science Experiment

Take a glass tube of about 15 cm.
Fix a rubber balloon at the lower bottom of glass tube.
Pour some water into the glass tube.
You will observe that the balloon starts bulging outward.
Now pour some more water into the glass tube.
The balloon starts to bulge more.
Conclusion:
The liquid column exerts a pressure on the bottom and this pressure increases with an increase in the height of the liquid column.
