Frog Legs in Terraria ─ Don't worry, it's not from an actual frogs, you don't obtain one from the real frogs in Terraria Jungle, so nothing was harmed today. Instead, they are fished up in a pool, which... makes total sense, obviously. Labor of Love update nerfed the accessory a bit: reducing the jump boost to 2/3rd of what it was before. But hey, now you can stack the effects of frog legs: Meaning, you can wear 4 pair of frog legs, and do this...

Similarly to the featherfall potion, the Djin's curse, which takes up the bottom armour slot, is a permanent equivalent which, when holding up, drastically increases jump height.

No need to fear about fall damage, we now have bundle of horseshoe balloon, which will negate fall damage completely.

I've played Calamity a lot and it has an accessory in early hardmode called the moab. It's essentially just an upgrade to the bundle of balloons that uses the frog leg and jetpack. It's a really fun alternate option to wings

I’d have really suggested you jump against a consistent background with markers so we can tell how high you’re going, you keep changing the location and zoom.. You also have other accessories like just lots and wings (as an accessory) which makes it harder to tell what’s making you go higher, because sometimes you do use the NetBoots in between tests..

For some hours I tried to make Terraria somwhat playable without wing because I want to try to fight bosses in Terraria by dodging rather than running away here is the things I figured out how to make it possible.
Here is my setting.
Frog webbing for climb wall + Terraria Overhaul Mod (for ledge climb, dodge roll jump, wall bounce, rework hook) + Mr. Plagues (Derpkin race for dive jump and 1double jump). All of this add a lot of option that vanilla doesnt have which is iframe(that is avaliable all the time) and a precise vertical movement.

If you want to make Terraria control like an old game use 'character stat mod' add gravity 2 to 4 will solve floatiness problem in Terraria. Add 0.1 decelerate make standing stickier and make you able to u-tuurn jump like other platform game, Adding more than 0.1 will make movement shaper but will also kill momentum of your movement(which may be nice depended on each person preference). In jump hight option u can add any number to compensate changing gravity but it can mess with your movement by making it shorter or longer by number of block and u may needed to change objects and setting in arena.

Finally you need new arena, Overhaul mod hook has added better swing mechanic to every hook that has more wider range of motion easy to control, its best to have some group of blocks or platforms floating or place in vertical to grab and swing to. Lastly some patch of ropes is neat, you can shield dash or dodge roll out of it and then grab it again.

I think you might be able to jump higher by using the slime mount, i think it might even matter if you mount-jump-then unmount immediately, I used this trick a lot in my ftw world

PS. This was basically my pre HM mmftw accessory loadout, just with less legs and more balloons lol

You can jump even higher with the Featherfall potion if you hold up, it doesn't just makes you fall slower but also jump higher 👀
That's usefull than the gravity potion to look for floating islands only with Blizzard in a Bottle and the Jet Boots

When I play on my main world, just building stuff, exploring more etc, I usually go with terrasparks boots, soaring insignia and frog legs to move around without directly *flinging myself into the ceiling with the wings*, maybe I could use more frog legs accessories
