I'll be honest.. I would've LOVED a movie (or multiple movies, even) of the Clone Wars!
Imagine if what we got in Episode II and partly Episode III.. We got on a much grander, more focused scale. Would have been incredible!!

Clone Wars is not only great on its own. It also imo improves episode 3. Because we hear how Anakin was one of the best Jedi in not just ability but in spirit. And episode 3 makes it seem like Anakin and Obi-wan are such close friends that they’re like brothers and that Anakin is supposed to be this righteous hero who loves people and wants to protect everyone he can including those close to him but we never see hardly ANY of that in the prequels 😂.

We hardly see him saving anyone who isn’t in his inner circle of close friends. And we see him murder an entire tribe of innocents simply for what a few of the cruel members did to someone Anakin cares about. “Yeah someone in this neighborhood killed my mom so …yeah I’m gonna go DOOR to DOOR and personally murder every single man, woman, and child in this entire neighborhood in response”. 😂😂Like that’s LITERALLY what he did and then in episode 3 he wounds his coworker so Palps can kill Mace(Ok that’s messed up but he didn’t directly kill Mace and he was just trying to stop Mace from killing someone so not necessarily evil) …and then Anakin immediately murders literally every person he ever worked with. Many of which he grew up with and then personally slices apart children. (…😑Ok yeah this dude is an evil psychopathic lunatic🤣)

That’s what we saw from Anakin pre- Clone Wars cartoons. He’ll risk it all to save his friends but anyone he doesn’t know personally is possibly SAFER getting as far away from him as possible in case he loses his temper and takes it out on innocents around him. Like before Clone Wars I could’ve genuinely seen Anakin slicing through a hostage Dooku was holding in order to reach and defeat Dooku as long as the hostage was a stranger😂. That’s the impression you could get from Anakin which is why so many fans including myself saw him as some moody, creepy teenage psycho 😂!

But with Clone War we truly see Anakin as a hero and a genuinely compassionate, loving, and well-meaning person. Someone you can root for and who you want to see be rewarded for their good deeds and willingness to stay a good person even when it’s difficult. To take valuing the lives of the weaker and innocent over strength to defeat those he hates. And THAT makes episode 3 hit so much more because it truly is a fall we witness. We know he’s a good person under a lot pressure with little support and we know that without manipulation he goes out of his way to do the right thing even if it puts himself in grave danger. So we know that when he becomes Vader it truly is surprising and can only happen with a deep internal struggle and being manipulated greatly by someone very smart and truly evil.

Ironically, the TV show would turn out to be much better than the feature film. Also "too good to be a TV show" is a bit arrogant.
