Scott, the deceased dog: I had the same type of experience. We had to put our beloved dog to sleep after he lost use of her hind legs. We had purchased a doggy wheelchair for him, but he didn't take to it. The day we had him put to sleep, I was in total grief. I could not function. I took a nap on our sofa to try and mask my grief. Upon awakening, I saw our beloved dog walking away from where I was lying on our sofa, toward the family room where my husband was. It was so real. I truly think he was allowed to come and say goodbye before leaving this world. I will never forget it. I still miss that dog immensely.

When my cat was put down by my sisters I was devastated!! You see in late July of 2019 I was in a coma until that September I woke up and I knew he was gone... I finally got home in Nov 8th and I have seen him many times in the apartment and I am so glad to see he checks up on me. Yes our pets do come back to see us...he was 17 years old but I remember cats can live well into their 30s so I know I will see him at heavens gate.❤❤❤

Years ago my 14 yr old Maltese stopped eating . After four days of starving and she being so weak it was sadly time to say goodbye. Feeling really sad on the way home I decided to stop at Sam’s Club and pick up some needed items. I wanted to just stay busy for a while. As I was headed towards the milk freezer, don’t know why I looked up but sitting on top looking down at me getting some milk, my Maltese as clear as day . She had her ears up and she looked alert and happy. I turned away and looked again and she was now …. Gone. I know what I saw …. She will always be part of me and hopefully we will meet again.

I absolutely believe that the spirits of our deceased pets will come back to visit us.
Years ago, our first family dog passed at about the age of 17 years old ( Yes, many dogs lived FAR longer back in the 1950s - 1970s than they do now). We could often hear his dog tags jingle around the house, months after his passing. Also a neighbour was coming home later in the evening, after dark. As he pulled onto his driveway, he saw his Golden Retriever 'Prince' sitting on the front porch, illuminated by his headlights, waiting for him. He was there, then he was gone. Prince had actually passed months earlier. ALL kinds of stories out here about this lovely phenomenon. :)

Strong odors and scents are normal in haunted houses. I lived in a haunted house for 21 years. There would be strong smells of brewing coffee, frying bacon, and an older ladies perfume. If I could smell the perfume, I would day; "I know you are here Rose. I can smell your perfume." (Joe and Rose were the original owners of the house when it was built in 1951.) Then the odor would quickly be gone. Humourous when guests were visiting. Some vowed never to return. We moved out in 2019. Lots of other stuff happened also.

The "flying shadow" looks like a bat close to the camera. The car alarms probably disturbed it

A few weeks after the family dog died, I heard his his footsteps on the floor above me. He walked from the kitchen to a bedroom and laid down like he'd done 1000's of times. I just called out "Good boy" and smiled.

The black mass that forms & “flies” above the highway & traffic is a solid mass since it casts a shadow on the wall. The shape of it looks like the cape of Dracula flaring out behind him as he traverses through the night.
