I just crack the pit and put it an inch under a good moist soil and water it every few days, I promise it grows just fine. Thank you for your way of planting, which good too.

I did this from a store-bought avocado it's been at least 5 years since. This year it seems to have sprouted flowers from head to toe! Along with a burst of leaves forming at the base of the small canopy. Loads and loads of flower clusters.

Pollinate indoor plants by using a soft brush to pick up and transfer the pollin to each flower. Soon thereafter, the plant will be loaded with fruit.

Avocado have, when you are buying them, a long way behind and where they are growing (Israel, Brasil..), the water they need to grow IS very expensive cause it's rare! - When you are make possible to let them grow at home, you have a good poison-free health food 👍💫

Done this w/ the students in school, they enjoyed, some have also planted this at the backyard, altho' did not survive, most prob due to the cold weather, as we avocado thrives in hot climate.

I just sit the seed in a small bowl with an inch or two of water until it starts to split open and then plant the seed 2/3rds deep into a 1-gallon pot with 2 tablespoons of organic slow release fertilizer mixed into the potting soil. No toothpicks necessary.

My avocado tree I grew from a pit like you show and is at least 20 years and has the hardest avocados that just do not soften. What do you do so you can eat them??

Only plant a tree from a quality avocado pit !! or your tree will grow poor quality avocado's !!That goes for any fruit or vegetable the you cultivate ! Be sure that you eat the fruit and then you know first hand what to expect with the seed ! Be wise ! God bless ❤

You shouldn't grow avocado from seed. Also avocado's need male and female trees for pollination

Avocado trees don't grow true to seed because they are typically cross-pollinated, leading to genetic variation in the offspring. The seed contains a mix of genetic material from two parent trees, so the resulting tree and fruit may differ significantly from the parent in terms of size, flavor, or other traits. Additionally, most commercial avocado varieties are grafted to ensure consistent fruit quality, as seed-grown trees are unpredictable and often produce inferior fruit.

The pit that is rooting looks different from the one that is cut open.
