Показать описание
Gluteal tendinopathy is a common cause of lateral hip pain. A study in the British Medical Journal compared education plus exercise, corticosteroid injection, and a wait and see approach. The study found that education plus exercise was superior to both the corticosteroid and the wait and see groups in the short term and long term. This video highlights the exercise program used in the LEAP Trial.

Show Notes:
Education plus exercise versus corticosteroid injection use versus a wait and see approach on global outcome and pain from gluteal tendinopathy: prospective, single blinded, randomised clinical trial.

Thank you, I appreciate that this is a guide so we can do the daily work out, so I am happy to have the metronome and no voiceover, videos with voiceover become very annoying if you follow them every day! I found these exercises quite easy even though I feel the pain most of the time (It has been 5 months since I injured Gluteus Medius so it is not as acute as at the beginning, but still constant pain down my leg). Would it be okay to skip to the bridge with leg raise, single leg squat etc if it is not irritating the tendon too much?

Hello again. Would it do something instead of taking a 60 beat of a 40 beat at the metronome to be under strain for a longer time? And could I go directly to the Single Leg Bridge to save me the other bridge exercises, or would it be better to carry out your protocol as you show it. Best wishes from Germany, Thomas.
