These are about £39K in the UK new. What a joke. Save the planet yeah, get a hybrid yeah, well you certainly dont get it to save money as you can get the old model new for about £25K with similar MPG figures. Yeah, some people want the latest everything but to be honest, the old model looks more robust. Subaru have turned this one into a school run SUV. Too many pointless bits of trim and styling and far too much unnecessary tech on it. I remember the days when farmers and country folk used to buy Foresters, they were tough rugged, long lasting comfortable cars you could throw anything at, and all for decent money new, not these overpriced fashion statement cars on silly PCP deals they will all be on because nobody can afford to buy it outright, plus they waste thousands trading it in after 3 or 4 years. You wouldn't dare get it mucky in the country would you darling. Its never going to be used off road because any damage would cost you at the end of the lease deal if its not in good condition. Im sad the way Subaru is taking the brand forwards in the UK. because a lot of traditional Subaru customers will simply not be interested. I have had various correspondence from head office, and also read some interesting documents regarding the brand and the model line up in the UK, and I have to say it doesn't look good. The big problem is with emissions, and slowly but surely all the great engines are being dropped across the whole car industry. I know that brands have to evolve in order to survive but motoring is become less connected, the driving experience is becoming "safe" and diluted. I want cars with character and that is something that is disappearing rapidly.
